Crystal Helman – Web Designer
I am a Web Designer based in San Diego, specializing in User Interface Design and Multimedia. I currently work full time as a Technical Online Course Developer and also do freelance work for small to medium size businesses.
Design for me is more than just a job; it's a vocation, a passion that grew over time. At an early age, I quickly became fascinated with the capability of web technologies. The mere act of sending an e-mail or accessing a web page from across the world just enthralled me; from the beautiful layouts to the "behind the scenes" technical aspect that made this form of communication possible. The emergence of the web made it quite apparent that communication had rapidly changed – now anybody could access a vast sea of information on the web within seconds, with just the touch of a button. As a result, businesses had to adapt to this change and websites became a necessity for companies to maintain that competitive edge. That's where I come in....
I build clean, functional and visually appealing websites, which comply with the latest web standards and put the client's objectives first. Design continues to remain my passion and creative outlet. In pursuit of my keen interest, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Computer Graphics and a minor in Communication Design from Chico State University.
I have found the web to be an interesting, fulfilling and ever-changing cycle of learning and creativity. As technology continues to progress something new arises – and that's what makes it all the more intriguing....
